Update: I’m 22

One of the best things about getting older and having all of your loved ones spread out across the country is getting to celebrate birthdays for an entire week in order to spend time with all of them ;) I spent my actual birthday in Arizona with my sister. Her friends and I went to dinner at one of their favorite wine bars, Postino’s.

All I really wanted to do for my birthday was go to Norma’s at the Parker in Palm Springs, especially because my birth-week was also my last week in the desert before moving to DC. If it weren’t 100 degrees outside we would have sat on the patio, but the inside was cute too! I love getting breakfast with my mom because we can never agree on sweet or savory, so we go with one of each and split them. The Chocolate Drizzled French Toast definitely stole the show, but the Eggs Florentine was good too.

I am officially adding Norma’s to my top 3 brunch spots in the desert, right with Cheeky’s and The Palms Cafe.

To end my birth-week Land came home for the weekend to spend some time with me, but we didn’t really take any pics cause we were having too much fun (sry!!).

Before I go, I just want to share something my dad gave me before my birthday that just has to be the best gift I’ve ever gotten/will ever get in my whole entire life. The day I was born, he wrote me a letter after meeting me for the first time and saved it all these years. We just opened it for the first time last week and it is by far one of the best love gestures I’ve ever seen. He may die if he sees this on the internet so don’t tell him, but you have to read it before you go…(side note: spooky is an inside joke, don’t ask)
